what are kettlebells?

The kettlebell is a versatile tool that can be programmed as a workout itself or as a complement to existing workout plans as a strength, power, conditioning or mobility tool.

Here are three reasons why kettlebells are awesome:

  1. Effectively get a full body workout in a short amount of time. All you need is one kettlebell (but if you have a pair that’s great!). Exercises like the swing, jerk, snatch, Turkish get-up, are dynamic full body exercises that will help you get strong, fit, and lean.

  2. Compact and portable. Kettlebell workouts don’t require a lot of space. Busy day at your local gym? Grab a kettlebell and start swinging.

  3. Moving well with a kettlebell is a skill. And skill based activities require engagement of the mind and body. Also, progressing and advancing a skill is much more exciting than doing mindless exercises like burpees.
